Summer Days Out at Blakemere!

School’s out, the sun has arrived at last and we have lots lined up to keep the little ones (and bigger ones) entertained without breaking the bank!

Did you know we don’t charge an entry or parking fee so you are quids in before you arrive! This is so everyone can enjoy Blakemere’s woodland trails popular with our regular doggy visitors as well as the 30+ independent shops located in the Village itself.

Our FREE adventure playpark is open every day with a variety of climbing frames and slides suitable for all ages. And when the sun comes out, so too do our garden games, which you will find on the grass area in front of the Visitor Information Centre. Pop into our centre to pick up a trail map for Polly Pig for just £3 per child- a fun historical trail around the Village to help Polly find her little piglets!

Try a taster Segway session or low ropes with Cheshire Outdoors from just £10 or their wonderful Birds of Prey aviary is just £2.50 per person with free entry for under 5’s. Check out some crafty options at Crafts in the Corner at their regular Summer Get-togethers or candle-dipping from just £3 at Cheshire Craft Workshop.

After all that activity, you will be ready for an ice-cream… our cabin is open daily from 11am – 4pm serving delicious Cheshire Farm ice-cream (weather-permitting)… or for something more substantial the Village Restaurant offers fresh locally produced dishes, snacks, afternoon teas and barista style coffee along with children’s meals and lunch boxes. There are also plenty of picnic benches dotted around the Village for a bring-your-own lunch option.

This August Bank Holiday join us for some brilliant free activities in the Courtyard including free face-painting on Saturday, free Punch & Judy shows on Sunday and Monday free circus skills.
